Family

Upon the foundation of family, is where I find the meaning of life. My husband JP, and two children, Melissa and Jonathan are the essence of my being. I am thankful for their unconditional love, laughter and the simple abundance of everyday.

family poem, daughter poem, brother poem

The cherished times I have spent with them, both past and present, have been instrumental in who I have become as a Mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Our home is filled with pictures and of poems of our family members, both living, and departed. Their memories will live in our hearts forever. What better gift to share with your loved ones, than personal sentiments written especially for them. These gifts are truly an heirloom to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Here are some of the poems I have written and presented as gifts.

Brother
yesterday we danced
to the childhood tune
of innocence and play
and the man in the moon

Sister
I remember well
that special day
when mother said
t’was a babe on the way

Daughter
when you were little
perhaps two or three
dressed in your crown
of 'joie de vie"

Grandmas
Welcome to my cottage
tis a place that i call home
do sit down and rest
i so hate to be alone

Mother birthday
in gentle embrace
a mother cried
swaddled in pink
her legacy lie

Father's Day
when i was little, upon your knee
breathing your Daddy scent
it was there, that I knew
I'd be most content

Mother-in-Law
for your gentle ways
and loving hand
as you nurtured your son
into a grown man

Sister-in-Law
As lavender scents
perfume the air
and silver leaves
dance with flair

Aunt
In the quiet of my heart
upon the rhythm of its beat
there’s a special place
for memories i keep

Our home
nestled deep
in the lush of green
stands a home
that few may see
