LOVE POEM
Friendship, love and romance
We all dance upon the points of hope that we will find love in our lives. It is with a love poem and being in love, that we nurture our souls.....
When I realized I was in love for the first time it truly took my breath away. It was my love poem and I was not prepared for fireworks, and butterflies. My best friend, who happened to be a man, had been at my side throughout a difficult year. He reassured me with advice, fed me when I was hungry, and nursed my confidence back to a healthy level. Once the school year was completed he went home to work for the summer and I was left in the city to fend for myself. As the days turned to weeks and weeks to months I found it progressively difficult to function without him. Thoughts of him consumed my days. When classes resumed I looked for him, but to no avail. Then two weeks into the first semester, as I was browsing in the school bookstore, I heard a voice say hello. When I looked up there was my friend, but he had changed. He was now the most handsome man I had ever seen. His chocolate eyes melted my heart. Twenty five years later, he still melts my heart, and with Gods blessings I am able to continue to live my love poem.

My husband has been my partner in life since that day, and because of our meeting I believe in love and fate. I live life with a greater abandon than I ever thought possible. I trust it and let it guide me. With him at my side I'm not afraid. He inspires me to be the best person I can be. Love can do that.... Not just the romantic kind, but the parent kind, and the friend kind and the children kind can too. It is inspirational, and all consuming....and so easy to express in a love poem.
