Raptures Loss
The sun spins gold
upon its day
yet in minds eye
its cast in grey
cloaked in dark
oppressing hues
shroud in thought
of losing you
once a time
our passions light
set the stars
ablaze at night
Now they loom
in raptures loss
void of fire
in lovers frost
where the wonder
of days gone by
When we set
the world a sigh
who shall rapture
natures sight
if not the love
of you and I

Lost Soul

bright stars in heaven
beauty behold
shed grace on this troubled
lost broken soul
embrace me with warmth
calm and direct
soothe unto me
your most reverant effect
let there be peace
a knowing within
fill me with spirit
that saves me of sin
avail do me not
sweet lord up above
for i truly do yearn
for your guidance and love
make me of you
a flame of desire
touched by your spark
spurned of its fire

era of dreams

Spring in paris
my dreams take me there
in a victorian gown
with upswept hair
i stroll the cobblestone
of the champs elysee
alive with its people
awe leads the way
the gayity of the era
and class of its time
becon me to pen
this whimsical rhyme
for perhaps long ago
adorned in white lace
i felt the spring air
kiss my sweet face
as I set out to sea
on a journey a far
with dreams of adventure
i seek the first star
my voyage of promise
that takes me to france
the french riviera
requesting a dance
to the music of time
on a ballroom floor
i pirhouette in laughter
dare i wish more?

Everyone has a story!

Share it! I've written many poems for people that had a story to tell. Now, I invite others who would like to help turn stories into poems. It's all about people helping people through poetry. It's turning each story into something to remember. It's about feeling good. It's about turning a life event into poetry as a gift from people just like you. It's new! It's free! It's personal! It's a lot of fun!
